Renal Clinic

Dr. Farokh Master is treating Chronic Renal Failure and Nephrotic Syndrome patients since past 30 years. The main aim of homeopathy in chronic kidney disease is to maintain healthy levels of creatinine and urea by promoting healthy kidney function. The scope of Homeopathy increases when a patient comes early on after diagnosis as we can help reverse the changes and improve kidney function rather successfully as compared to a patient who comes at a later stage. The main aim is to prevent dialysis or reducing the frequency of dialysis and allowing the transplanted kidney to work efficiently.

In the last 30 years Dr. Farokh Master had treated many patients successfully all over the world and has also lectured extinsively on ‘Homeopathic management of Kidney disease’.

Why Homeopathy?

Homeopathy does not recognize the kidneys as mere organs of excretion, but always recognizes it in relation to the individual as a whole.

The state of a patient, with end-stage renal failure or progressive reversible chronic renal disease, is miserable, not only for the patient but also for the family and society as a whole. The individualized homeopathic therapeutic approach considering the patient’s psychological and physical presentation is very important.

Homeopathy tries to prevent deterioration of renal functions, if it is in a reversible stage, or at least tries to palliate the condition, if it is in an irreversible state. In a few cases it prevents progression to Hemodialysis and Renal Transplant.

Why Homeopathic Health Centre?

At the homeopathic health center, we commonly get patients under the following categories.

Diminished Renal Reserves
This is the best group of patients for us to work for, but unfortunately the number of cases presenting at this stage are scarce.
The individualized constitutional homeopathic treatment is highly effective in preventing a large number of cases progressing to the stage of Dialysis or Renal Transplant.

End-stage chronic renal failure – pending hemodialysis and renal transplant.

The maximum group of renal patients coming to the HHC fall in this category. Majority of these cases come to homeopathic rescue as a last resort as they cannot afford long-term Dialysis and Transplant. The rest of the patients want to know the benefits of Homeopathic treatment over dialysis and whether homeopathic treatment can be carried on along with Hemodialysis. The clinical judgment is individualized and varies from patient to patient.

Long-term hemodialysis pending renal transplant
Homeopathy has a great role to play here. Our clinical experience of last 30 years reveals:
i. Indicated homeopathic remedies reduce the number of dialysis needed over a period of time.
ii. Indicated homeopathic remedies reduce and overcome the complications associated with chronic dialysis therapy like water retention, chronic anemia, disequilibrium syndrome, aluminum poisoning, dialysis dementia, etc.
iii. In the physical sphere, infections, thrombosis and aneurysm formation occurring in the Arterio-venous fistula have also been treated by our Center.
iv. Patients who are on constitutional homeopathic treatment for renal failure are at a reduced risk of developing Hepatitis B, H.I.V. infection and cytomegalovirus infection.

Post Renal Transplant
The group of patients coming for homeopathic advice after Renal Transplant can be benefited by keeping them on long term constitutional homeopathic treatment. By doing this we can prevent many intercurrent infections that these patients are prone to, thereby reducing the risk of rejection of transplanted kidney.
